The English Chess Federation officially announces its support for the candidacy of Bessel Kok, as nominee for the next President of FIDE (Fédération Internationale Des Échecs), the official body for the World Chess Federation.
The ECF acknowledges the good work and valuable input of the incumbent Kirsan Iilmyumzhinov, Deputy President, Georgios Makropoullos and their team and also recognises the considerable contribution of David Jarrett as FIDE Treasurer.
The ECF Board approved the official endorsement of Bessel Kok at the Board
meeting held on 11th March 2006.
