The English Chess Federation wish to announce that Cyril Johnson has taken over the duties of Chief Executive Officer whilst Roy Heppinstall is indisposed. We would be grateful if Roy were allowed to recover in peace and quiet and his family were not disturbed.
Cyril has asked Harriet Hunt to act as Manager of Junior International Chess and Scott Kenyon as Manager of Home Junior Chess until the AGM and we are very pleased to report they have agreed to do so.
Robert Richmond resigned as Director of Finance and Membership recently. We wish to thank him for his considerable efforts and wish him well in the future.
We are pleased to announce that Geoff Steele has agreed to combine the post of Finance Director with that of Company Secretary until the AGM following the resignation of Robert Richmond. Geoff's unparalled knowledge of the Federation will ensure a smooth transition adn we thank him for stepping into the vacancy.
