This match was intended as part of the School's centenary celebrations. The School's team comprised mostly pupils with a sprinkling of staff, while their opponents were a team made up of some of Devon's senior players and administrators, specially selected to match the strength of the school's team. The match was qualifies for the B.C.F.'s Match of the Generations, part of their own centenary activities.
