Peter Turner comments: "Our
two youngest players have a marvellous 5/8. George and Amisha's performances
have been tremendous for youngsters new to this level of chess. I'm impressed
with their preparation and daily routines which make sure that they get
to the board in the best possible frame of mind to make the most of their
chess talents. I have to return early to the UK but will certainly be following
events on the internet."

[Ed, Official live site currently very slow for data, probably overworked getting pairings ready for round 8 - also live games for round 7 were not updating. To get official scores for a player you can type in a URL like this: http://www.chessfed.gr/WYCC2002/match.asp?player=nnn where nnn is the player's 'Code', eg 304 = David Howell. The codes are on the British Isles Player List which has these links embedded]
Peter Turner reports: David on board 2 this afternoon, [Ed, one of 5 sharing the leading score of 6/7, as Kozubov lost this morning], Gawain plays 5th seed. The pairings list is with the coaches at the moment.
