ECF National Schools Championship 2005/2006
The competition is complete. The eight semi-final qualifiers met at Uppingham
School 6th and 7th July 2006 to decide the Plate and Championship winners. It
was a delightful venue. Cyril Johnson, ECF Junior Director, attended. David
Welch, as ever, was Arbiter. Nottingham HS A are Champions, retaining their
title. Monmouth School take the Plate Championship.
For the local Zones, and an overview of the season, see below.
For the complete national-stage knock-out matches, see Detailed
match results.
There is an age handicap. The older team, to win, must finish ahead by a number
of points at least equal to the age difference in years (taken as an integer
by truncation, and with a maximum value of 4). Teams winning on age handicap
(or on board count if there is no handicap) are marked by an asterisk. Failing
an asterisk, the team with more points is the winner.
