Free to GMs, IMs, WGMs, WIMs provided postmarked by July 10th. Players who gained their FM or WFM title during the last 12 months may pay a reduced entry fee of £100, provided postmarked prior to July 10th. This event is open only to exempted or qualified players.

British Ladies Champion: - £500 British Under 21 Champion: - £250.
Most Improved Rating Performances 2005-2150 - £250; 2151-2295 - £250.
Alexander Best Game Prize for the Best Game in the Championship - £100.
GibTelecom BCF Centenary Prize to the value of £1000 for the player who
achieves the best performance relative to their published July 2004 FIDE rating.
In addition the Champion will receive the Sims Prize (currently approximately
£120); the Ladies Champion’s prize includes the Lander Prize (currently
£50).
Playing Schedule: - Mon 2nd to Fri 13th August (except Sun
8th). 11 rounds, starting 2.15 pm daily, 7 hour sessions.
Play-off: Should there be a tie for the title after 11 rounds
a play-off will take place on Saturday 14th August. 10% of the prize fund due
for 1st and any subsequent prizes involved in the tie will be held back and
distributed following the play-off. The type and length of play-off plus the
distribution of prizes will be determined by the number of players involved;
full details will be given in the event programme. Entry to the Championship
is deemed as acceptance of these conditions.
