Battle Chess Supports the British Championships

igfun logoIG Fun the publishers of the mobile phone game Battle Chess will be supporting the British Chess Championships to be held at Great Yarmouth commencing July 29th.

The Championship will feature a Battle Chess prize of £150 for fighting chess to be given to the player with the most uncompromising approach during the two week long event. IG Fun are also making a separate donation to the ECF.

Competitors will be able to download trial versions of the all action chess program which has all of the remarkable graphics that engaged games players when the program was first published for PC. Nowadays it costs just £4.99 and can be downloaded from the main telephone service providers Vodaphone, Orange and 3.

Watch out for further details of a special Battle Chess event on Sunday 29th July when the championships open and bring your mobile phones with you. IG Fun Key Account Manager Gulshan David commented: “We are delighted to be supporting such a prestigious event. Battle Chess brings the classic game of chess into the world of mobile gaming and I am sure it will be a hit with all the players.”

The program features Classic or 3D pieces, chess puzzles and also a cool Pass and Play feature which enables a two player game and inverts the board each time a move is played. Beginners can choose the easy mode but even club players will tested at the program’s top level.
