Jersey Post has launched a new stamp series entitled 'Jersey Festivals'. The first in this series starts with Jersey's Festival of Chess, to celebrate the centenary of the BCF, the 80th anniversary of FIDE and also the inaugural meeting of the Jersey Chess Club. Jennifer Toombs, the stamp artist, has given each design an 'original' feel using a little artistic licence by depicting individual chess pieces against chess boards of different colours and perspectives.
