The charging structure for events ending after 01/09/2008 will be as follows:
All-play-all events:

| under 2301 | £50 |
| 2301-2400 | £100 |
| 2401-2500 | £150 |
| 2501-2600 | £200 |
| Over 2600 | £300 |
Matches: As per All-play-all events above.
Scheveningen events: £2 per player
Swiss events: £2 per player
New events, and existing events which are not currently FIDE rated, may be FIDE rated without charge for the first year.
Note that in order to comply with FIDE regulation B.02.16.1, which states that “To be included in the FIDE Rating List, a player must be a member of a national chess Federation.”, event organisers must ensure that all English players are current ECF Members (of any membership category).
